Poland: How to Calm a Cow

Published: September 23, 2006

A woman in western Lobez who grew marijuana to calm the nerves of her cow has been charged with cultivating a narcotic. The cow had been “skittish and unruly” — once breaking someone’s arm — until someone suggested mixing marijuana in with the feed, the woman told the police. The plants, grown from seeds bought at a market, reached nearly three yards tall, and the cow, the woman said, “became as calm as a lamb.”

The question arises: how are the animal rights activists reacting? Do they consider it animal abuse? When I hear a comment from the ASPCA the story will be complete. It just looks like another herbal remedy that works for another arbitrarily banned drug. At least the cow didn't have to smoke the stuff.

What it oesn't say is that to get the stuff the cow had to pay massive amounts to the foxes who were trafficking the drug for her.
